Chris King R45 with HED Ardennes Wheelset

Chris King and HED have teamed up to build the ultimate performance wheelset. A HED rim that is lighter, stiffer and wider than most standard rims not only improves cornering performance due to its extra width but its air volume is effectively increased, meaning it can be run at a lower pressure for better absorption and more speed.

The Chris King R45 hubset has been designed to meet the demands of road cycling. A sleek, new hubshell body and 17mm axles means that there is 17mm from dropout to dropout, resisting deflection when cornering or when you are in full sprint. Featuring stainless steel sealed bearings, that are handmade and can be easily serviced at regular intervals.

Combining the HED Ardennes rims with the Chris King Hubs gives you a great wheelset that is an affordable, aerodynamic masterpiece which corners beautifully and can withstand a bit of abuse. With these two manufacturers working together this may be the must have wheelset.
